Natalie has Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in History, and earned her AAS in Historic Preservation and Restoration from Savannah Technical College. She taught historic preservation classes at Lamar Community College and at Savannah Technical College. She's worked with various non-profits, federal, and state agencies across the country on preservation projects. Natalie now works with Preservation Maryland in workforce development for the trades and has a passive ownership role with the business.

Matt Weems was born and raised in Savannah. He obtained a degree in Marine Science from Savannah State University. After getting hitched with Natalie, she convinced him to leave his honorable government service work and scrape lead paint instead.
